A game as a gift

A personalized game as a gift: the present that gets played

For an anniversary, the holidays or a colleague’s farewell: a small game with names, shared memories and a message waiting at the finish line. You build it quickly, send a link and watch it get played – no shipping, no wrapping paper, no “sorry, it will arrive next week”.

Why a game makes a good gift

A personal gift does not have to be expensive – it has to be exact. A game shows that you thought about places that matter to you both, a nickname nobody else uses, a sentence you have wanted to say for a while. And there is the moment of playing itself: whoever reaches the finish and finds your message has earned it a little.

A game also travels well. It arrives the second you send the link, however far apart you live. The game text can be created in 20 languages, which is handy when grandma lives in Lisbon or your best friend moved to Seoul.

Occasions and matching game ideas

  • Anniversary or Valentine’s Day: a short runner where your cat collects hearts. Each level can stand for a year together.
  • The holidays: a family quiz on traditions, the legendary fondue night and the year the tree fell over.
  • Farewell or retirement: a story about the years at the company, with a memory to choose at every fork.
  • Wedding: a quiz for the guests about how well they know the couple; the top score gets read out at dinner.
  • For children: a platformer with their favorite animal as the hero and a treasure chest at the end.
  • Mother’s Day or Father’s Day: a quiz about family stories, played at the breakfast table.

How to present a digital gift

A link is quick to send, but a little staging goes a long way. Three things that work:

  1. A QR code on a card. Turn the link into a QR code, print it and tuck it into a card or onto a small parcel.
  2. Midnight delivery. For a birthday or anniversary, make the game the first message of the day.
  3. Play it together. At a family gathering, show it on the TV or a tablet and take turns.

Or give credits and let them choose

Not sure which game it should be? Give the credits instead. The gift card comes as 250 credits for €9.99 or 1,000 credits for €34.99, stays valid for 3 years and is redeemed in the recipient’s account. More on the gift card page.

What does a gift game cost? A mini runner is 40 credits, a small family quiz 80 and a story adventure of the same size 100. For plenty of ideas by occasion, see our guide 12 birthday game ideas.

Your gift in five steps

  1. Choose a genre

Runner or platformer for action, quiz for memories, story for a little tale.

  2. Choose a size

Mini for a greeting; small or medium for a gift that lasts longer.

  3. Choose a style

Pastel for romance, Paper for a handmade feel, Pixel for retro fans.

  4. Add the occasion, first name and message

The message (up to 140 characters) appears at the end of the game.

  5. Build and wrap

Play it once, then print the QR code or send the link at just the right moment.

FAQ

Can the recipient see what the game cost?

No. The game shows only its title, its texts and your message. Prices and credits are visible only in your account.

Can I change the game after giving it?

Yes. In the studio chat you can change texts, style or difficulty. The link stays the same.

Is it a good last-minute gift?

Often. Smaller games build quickly (our estimate, not yet measured in live operation). Still, allow time to play it through yourself.

How long is a gift card valid?

3 years. After redeeming, the credits appear in the recipient’s account.
