Story adventure

An interactive story game maker with choices and endings

A lighthouse that blinks at the wrong time, a school trip that takes a wrong turn, a company onboarding told as an adventure: describe the setting, the hero and the mood. Claude writes a branching story in which every choice matters, with at least three different endings, and you share it as one link.

What a story adventure is

You read a short scene, then choose what happens next. Each scene offers two or three choices, and each choice leads to another scene. Some paths end in a good ending, some in a surprising or sad one. Because every reader can take a different route, people talk about what they chose, and they play again to see what they missed.

What Claude builds for you

  • A scene graph: scenes written in the second person (“You open the heavy door…”), short enough to read on a phone.
  • Choices with consequences: two or three buttons per scene, always leading to scenes that exist.
  • At least three endings, so one playthrough never shows everything.
  • No dead ends: every scene can be reached from the start, and every path can reach an ending, so nobody gets stuck in a loop.

A story is a good fit when words matter more than reflexes. It is also the genre where a personal touch lands best: a hero with a friend’s first name, a setting from a shared holiday, an inside joke as the final twist.

These are the base credits before extras. Story dialogues (40 credits) let the characters speak in direct speech, and a save game (20 credits) lets players pick up a long story later. You see the total before you confirm the build.

Ideas for story games

  • A personal adventure: a quest in which your friend’s family and pets appear, ending with a birthday message.
  • A learning story: a time-travel trip through a history topic where each choice teaches a fact.
  • A civics or ethics discussion: a dilemma with no perfect path. Pupils compare what they chose.
  • A team scenario: a pretend project crisis that shows how a decision affects colleagues.
  • A newsletter treat: a three-minute mystery for subscribers.

What it is not

Want more story craft? Our guide what AI can do in games explains where an AI writer shines and where you should read the scenes yourself. For a story in more than one language, see the multilingual game maker.

Your story adventure in five steps

  1. Choose “Story adventure”

It is one of the genres on the first page of the builder.

  2. Pick a size

Mini for a surprise, Small for a classic short tale, Medium or Large for a real adventure.

  3. Choose a style

Paper looks friendly and calm, Neon feels like a thriller, Mono works well for a mystery.

  4. Describe setting, hero and mood

Two sentences are enough: where it happens, who the hero is, and whether it should be spooky, funny or warm.

  5. Read it through and share

Play every ending once, ask for changes via chat if a scene feels off, then send the link.

FAQ

How many endings does a story have?

At least three different endings, so players have a reason to play again and try another route.

Can I write the scenes myself?

Describe the plot and the turning points in your idea and Claude writes the scenes from it. Afterwards you can ask for changes to individual scenes via chat, for example “make the ending funnier”.

Can the characters speak in direct speech?

Yes, with the story dialogues extra (40 credits). Without it, the story is told as narration.

Can I include a friend’s name or a family detail?

Yes, as text in your idea. Photos are deliberately not supported, so a personal game works with first names and a message only.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Scenes are short and choices are big buttons, so it plays well with touch.
