A gift you can play and a quiz for the team: playing.company turns personal games into an occasion

Birthday, anniversary, party or team event: pick a genre, add a first name and a greeting, and share it by link or a printed greeting card with a QR code.

– A game that knows the recipient’s name and ends with a personal message: with playing.company, a game maker in the browser, that takes no programming skills. For a holiday party, a birthday or a team event, one sentence is enough as an idea; the beta is planned to start in German-speaking countries on December 8, 2026.

For gifts, the wizard offers an occasion – birthday, anniversary or party – plus a first name and a greeting that appears at the end of the game. The game is passed on as a link or as a printable greeting card with a QR code; whoever receives it plays on a phone or computer, with no download and no account. For a more traditional gift there is a gift voucher: credit packs as a code, from €9.99 for 250 credits, valid for 3 years.

For teams there is the “Team event” occasion: a quiz with inside questions for the holiday party, the summer party or onboarding, played by everyone on their own device. Learning quizzes with an explanation after every question fit, for example for training sessions.

The entry point is deliberately low: a mini quiz has a list price of 30 credits, and the free plan with 40 credits a month is enough for one mini game. The total price in credits is shown before you confirm, and if a build fails the credits are returned. As a target value, a mini game takes about a minute to build.

A game becomes personal through names, inside jokes and memories in the text – photos are deliberately not uploaded, and the wizard asks for first names only. A filter blocks well-known brands and characters from films or games at the input stage, and every game is labelled as AI-generated, visibly and in machine-readable form (EU AI Act, Article 50).

[Zitat Markus – zur Freigabe]

Suggested: “A gift gets personal when someone has thought something up for it. With a game, one idea is enough – and the price is there beforehand.”

— Markus, founder of playing.company
